The Liturgical Calendar

The Easter Season, a 50-day period in the Christian Liturgical Calendar, celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ and is a time of joy and renewal.  It begins on Easter Sunday and extends through Pentecost, which is celebrated on the 50th day.  This season is a time for reflecting on the core doctrines of faith, experiencing the presence of the Risen Lord and preparing for ministries empowered by the Holy Spirit.  The liturgical color is "White".
