As Catholics, we fully participate in the celebration of the Eucharist when we receive Holy Communion. We are encouraged to receive Communion devoutly and frequently. In order to be properly disposed to receive Communion, participants should not be conscious of grave sin and normally should have fasted for one hour. First Holy Communion is celebrated by children in the 2nd grade (after completion of one year of Religious Ed. preparation).
Students in grade 10 receive the sacrament of Confirmation after 2 years of preparation. Adults are also welcome to be confirmed if they have not yet received the sacrament of Confirmation. Please call the Rectory for information.
Couples contemplating marriage are asked to contact the rectory at least 6 months in advance of their desired wedding date. Don't book your reception until you've book with us at the church!
SACRAMENT OF THE SICK

It is a rite that is performed to convey God's Grace to the recipient through the power of the Holy Spirit. This sacrament is given upon request. The job of a sponsor or godparent is to be a Christian role model in someone's life. A sponsor or God parents is required for the sacraments of Confirmation and Baptism. To request a certificate you need to contact the church that the sponsor or godparent is registered at. They will give you a form to sign. The requirements are:
A visible sign instituted by Christ by which invisible GRACE is communicated
to the soul. Sacraments are REAL encounters with God.
There are 7 Sacraments in the Catholic Faith.
Every Sacrament has a "past, a present and a future".
The past is where the sacrament originates from in scripture, the present
is the ritual the day it is celebrated & the future is how you live it.
